Mooreland woman dies in Wednesday crash

BUFFALO — A Mooreland woman died in a rollover crash late Wednesday in Harper County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Melanie Renee Shaw, 29, was flown to OU Medical Center where she died, troopers said. About 11 p.m., Shaw was a passenger in a northbound sport utility vehicle on a Harper County road, about 11 miles south and 18 miles east of Buffalo, when the driver left the road, hit an embankment and rolled the vehicle, according to a patrol report. The driver, Tyler James Rea, 30, of Fort Riley, Kan.,  was taken to a local hospital with back injuries, troopers said. No seat belts were worn, trooper said.
