The highway patrol says 56-year-old Mark Leaton of Dalhart, Texas, was standing in a lane of Interstate 40 in Del City - just outside Oklahoma City - when the collision occurred Tuesday night.

The driver of the car, a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer, was 22-year-old Joseph Wagaman of Del City. He was not injured.
