EDMOND -- The driver of a motorcycle was killed when another motorist changed lanes into the motorcycle's path and the motorcycle was then struck by a tractor-trailer Tuesday. The brown car caused the motorcycle driver to lose control of the motorcycle. One person driving the motorcycle was killed on Interstate 35 in the southbound lanes about 9 a.m. The motorcycle was then hit by a southbound tractor-trailer. Timmons said the driver of a brown four-door sedan with a Texas license plate made a lane change into the motorcycle driver's path in the southbound lanes.

EDMOND '€” The name of the motorcyclist who was killed in a crash on Interstate 35 on Tuesday has been released by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Michael Ray Smith, 60, of Oklahoma City, was dead at the scene of the crash about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday on I-35 in the southbound lanes near the Second Street on-ramp in Edmond, the patrol reported. The driver of a tractor-trailer involved in the crash, Robert Lee Sims, 52, of Shaw, Miss., was not injured. The driver of a third vehicle, a car that the patrol said left the scene, has not been found.
