Bixby Man Involved In Fatal Car Crash Outside Eufaula

A Bixby man was in a collision that killed the passenger in another vehicle, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Nathan Tenison was driving on Highway 9 in McIntosh County when he ran a stop sign and  struck a vehicle on its passenger side, killing 58-year-old David Hanks. Brandon Hanks, 24, was driving the vehicle that was hit and is the son of David Hanks. He survived the accident and his injuries were treated at a hospital in Eufaula. Tenison was taken by helicopter to a hospital in Tulsa where he is listed in stable condition. Everyone involved in the accident was wearing seatbelts. The cause of the accident is currently listed as failure to stop, and the weather conditions, cloudy with misting rain, were a contributing factor.
