1 dead after crash into Columbia River

The Multnomah County sheriff's office sent out two boats to the scene. A body was recovered from the river about 7 a.m. The car was being checked for other bodies. Marine Drive is closed between 158th and and 185th.

Portland police said a witness called 911 around 6:30 a.m. saying a car had crashed into the water near Northeast Marine Drive and 166th Avenue, and a person had gotten out but then gone underwater.

A man was found dead after reports Wednesday morning of a car into the Columbia River near Northeast 166th and Marine Drive.
A person was found dead after a witness called 911 to report a car falling into the Columbia River in Portland near Northeast 166th and Marine Drive. The report went in around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday morning. Two boats were sent to the scene and a body was recovered around 7:00 a.m.
