Motorcyclist critically injured after crashing into SUV in Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. '€“ Investigators think a motorcyclist may have been drunk when he crashed into an SUV Sunday and was critically injured. The 20-year-old driver of the SUV suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene by medical personnel, Simpson said. The motorcycle rider, a 37-year-old male, suffered traumatic injuries and was transported to a Portland hospital for treatment, according to Sgt. Investigators believe the motorcycle rider may have been under the influence of alcohol, Simpson said. Based on the severity of the motorcycle rider's injuries, the Traffic Division's Major Crash Team responded to conduct a crash investigation.
