Palmyra police seek driver in hit-and-run

The driver who struck her left the scene before officers arrived, but investigators believe he was driving a black sedan with a loud exhaust. The crash may have damaged the windshield and deployed a driver-side air bag, police said. Police have released a photograph of the suspect and his vehicle. Woman dies days after Palmyra hit-and-run

The 52-year-old woman, Lisa Thomas, was in critical condition for several days before passing away, according to Hershey Medical Center. A Lebanon County woman who was was struck by a hit-and-run driver has died. Anyone with information pertaining to this accident is asked to contact the Palmyra Borough Police Department at 717-838-8189. Authorities describe the driver as a white male who was wearing a black shirt and blue jeans at the time of the crash. It happened last week on the 400 block of East Cherry Street in Palmyra.

Middletown man arrested for fatal hit-and-run in Palmyra

Palmyra Police have arrested a Middletown man in connection with a fatal hit-and-run that occurred last month. During the search of the vehicle, evidence was found linking the vehicle to the crime scene. Here is the official press release News 8 obtained from the Palmyra Borough Police Department: "On 11/20/15 Palmyra Police arrested Chad Ryan Collins for his involvement in the fatal hit and run accident that occurred on 10/21/15 at 2238 hours in the 400 block of East Cherry Street, Palmyra PA 17078. On 11/5/15 police located Collins's vehicle in the parking lot of Gravel Hill Church in North Londonderry Township. Collins was unable to post bail and was subsequently committed to Lebanon County Correctional Facility."

Man gets 5-12 years for fatal hit-and-run in Palmyra

Chad R. Collins, 30, was sentenced in Lebanon County Court on Wednesday to 5-12 years. He pleaded guilty in July to a felony charge of accidents involving serious injury or death, a misdemeanor count of tampering with evidence, and related summary offenses.
