The boys were described as friendly, hard working, and fun to be around, but they shined when the helmets came on. “Stone Hill lived and breathed football. Nick Mankin lived and breathed his teammates,” Shay said. While they will be remembered as incredible athletes, teammates and coaches will most remember their character off the field.

Two York County teenagers died in a collision Tuesday evening. Seventeen-year-old Stone Hill, of Delta, was driving a minivan that crashed into a telephone pole on Slab Road in Lower Chanceford Township. Hill and his passenger, 16-year-old Nicholas Mankin of Felton, were killed when the minivan rolled and caught fire.
