Motorcyclist killed when hits wife's turning car in Greene County
A state police spokesman at the Waynesburg barracks said James Tyler Nicklow, 22, was operating a motorcycle Thursday morning. His wife, Rikki Marie Nicklow, 37, was driving a car. They were both traveling north on Route 88 and were making a left turn onto Cemetery Hill Road when James' motorcycle struck the left rear of his wife's car shortly after 8 a.m.
Since motorcycle crashes often end in serious injuries, victims need immediate help
Motorcycle accidents are more likely to end in serious injuries or death for the motorcyclist, since the rider is not protected from the force of a collision. When a motorcycle accident happens, the injured rider needs immediate, appropriate medical care, the accident needs to be investigated, and the insurance companies need to be informed.
When a motorcycle crash is caused by negligence, additional steps need to be taken to protect the legal rights of the injured motorcyclist or the family members of someone killed in a motorcycle crash. Go here to learn more about motorcycle accidents and claims.
