Police later found Morales’ car about 100 feet into a wooded area near the site where the pedestrian was struck. The two passengers were partially entrapped in the vehicle.

Police said 75-year-old Mary Kemp of Wakefield was struck on Narragansett Avenue East at about 6 p.m. Monday. Officers reported that they received several calls about an erratic operator driving in that area.
