According to South Carolina Highway Patrol Troopers (SCHP), it happened around 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, at the intersection of Highway 176 and Mudville Road. According to troopers, a GNC service truck was traveling south on Mudville Road, when the driver failed to stop at a stop sign.

The tow truck hit the GMC service truck and a passenger in the service truck was killed.

Michael Brandon Perry II, 22, was a passenger in the flatbed service truck when it collided with a rollback wrecker, at 6 p.m. Thursday, Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury said. Perry was pronounced dead on the scene, Salisbury said.
