Fatal overnight accident on Savannah Hwy

According to the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office Selective Traffic Enforcement Unit, the driver lost control of the vehicle while traveling at a high rate of speed, causing it to cross into oncoming lanes of traffic. 

Man arrested, charged with felony DUI in fatal McClellanville collision

Charleston County deputies have arrested Mark Alexander Zulawski, 21, and charged him with Felony DUI and open container.

Coroner releases name of victim killed in suspected Awendaw DUI

 The Charleston County Coroner's office has identified the man killed a suspected DUI wreck Saturday in Awendaw.

Troy Cyzman, 22, of Mount Pleasant, died at a local hospital after officials say he suffered critical injuries in the wreck.

Law enforcement officials say the wreck happened just before 2 a.m. Saturday on Highway 17 near the McClellanville Diner and Two Pines Road.

Mark Alexander Zulawski, 21, was driving the vehicle, according to investigators. He is charged with felony DUI and having an open container. He was granted a $40,232 bond.
