One rescued, another missing after boat overturns in Wando River

The vessel that flipped was a crab boat, according to Trae Wright, assistant chief of the Charleston County Rescue Squad.

One of the two men in the boat was rescued, but the second didn't resurface.

USCG investigating overturned boat, look for missing boater

According to USCG officials, the boat was located in the waters near Interstate 526 and Highway 41. 
The accident happened at approximately 8:47 a.m. on the Wando River near the mouth of Horlbeck Creek near Mount Pleasant. The coast guard responded, and the accident is under investigation. One man was resuced, and the second, a dock worker, is presumed drowned. Local authorities are focused on recovering his body. Check back for updates.
