Moped driver killed in hit-and-run in Anderson

The Anderson County Coroner's Office says that 36-year-old Phillip Omar Ligon of Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities say he was hit by a vehicle - thought to be a white sedan - that then drove off. Officials tell local media outlets the accident happened about 7:30 on Thursday evening.
