Officials with the South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating a deadly single vehicle accident involving a tree on US 321, five miles north of Hardeeville.
17-year-old Lowcountry high school junior dies in car wreck
Holmes' loved ones gathered at Wade Hampton's track field on Sunday, supporting each other get through the devastating loss. Her track coach and teachers at the school were busy consoling her friends and teammates.
Funeral arrangements set for Lowcountry high school student killed in crash
The funeral service for Savannah Holmes will be held at the gym at Wade Hampton High School.
At around 8:06 a.m. on Saturday, April 25th after a 2007 Honda Civic driven by 17-year-old Savannah Holmes of Brunson was southbound on U.S. 321 when the vehicle ran off the road and struck a tree. Holmes, who was wearing a seat belt, was killed at the scene.
