An accident along Highway 411 Saturday night leaves one woman dead and three children and another person injured. According to the Blount County Sheriff's Office, authorities received a call around 6:44 p.m. near Ridgeway Trail on Highway 411. Deputies say Amanda Campbell, 29, of Maryville was traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 411 in a 1996 GMC Jimmy when she stopped in the fast lane due to a flat tire. Campbell then left the vehicle to try and flag down someone for assistance. Tiffany Anderson, 19, of Greenback was also driving in the fast lane when an unknown vehicle swerved quickly into the slow lane. Anderson's vehicle then struck Campbell as well as the GMC Jimmy, pinning Campbell between the two vehicles. Campbell died at the scene. Three passengers in Campbell's car were identified as a 15-year-old girl, a 10-year-old girl and a boy, age 20-months. They were taken to Blount Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. Anderson was taken to UT Medical Center where she is listed in stable condition. Investigators say all passengers in the GMC Jimmy, as well as Anderson, were all properly restrained.
