Pilot injured in ultralight crash landing
According to the Anderson County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a report of a aircraft crash on Saturday around 3:30 p.m. in a field off Valley Drive.
The pilot, whose name has not been released, had crashed while trying to land at a private grass landing strip at his home on Ray Lane.
Authorities said the pilot received minor injuries but declined medical treatment. The aircraft had significant damage.
