Robert S. Cook killed, and Sheila Holmes, two others injured in single-car crash on Rutherford Boulevard near Prestwick Drive in Murfreesboro, Tennessee

One person was killed and three others were injured in a one-car crash on Rutherford Boulevard early Wednesday morning. Police say Robert S. Cook, from Burns, TN, lost his life as a passenger in the car that crashed about 3:30 a.m. on Rutherford Boulevard near Prestwick Drive. According to authorities, the driver, Sheila Holmes, lost control of the car on a curve, hit the center median, then hit a utility pole on the other side of the road. Two other passengers in the car were hurt, and police say another passenger, Nicholas Parker, left the scene and hasn't been found. It's not clear if alcohol played a role in the crash, but officers took a blood sample from the driver.
