Scott Latulippe, Nancy Latulippe and Jackson Latulippe killed, two injured, and Guy Brasted, 41, arrested in collision on US 183 in Austin, Texas

A Jeep crossed the median and struck a small Fiat head-on, killing two occupants and critically injuring two more, and then struck another car injuring one more. 

Police said Brasted had a blood alcohol level of .203, more than double the legal limit. He’s in jail on $200,000 bond.   

The Latulippe family is from California and had flown to Austin to visit friends, said Jim Enos, whose 38-year-old daughter and 14-year-old grandson were killed in the crash.

The APD Vehicular Homicide Unit is asking for anyone with information about the events leading up to the fatal crash to contact them at (512) 974-6935 if they have not already done so.    

Kiera walked down to the field Friday night for the coin toss before the school's playoff football game.  Students lined the stadium with signs expressing their support for the Latulippe family.   

That morning, spokesperson for DPS says they received a report at 8:03 a.m. that a vehicle had hit the guardrail in the area between Mopac and Loop 360.

Guy Brasted pleaded guilty earlier this month to three charges of intoxicated manslaughter and made a judicial admission to one charge aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The charges stem from a November 2017 collision where he lost control of his Jeep, crossed the median on U.S. Highway 183 near North MoPac Expressway and slammed into a family’s rental Fiat.
