Burnet police: Man dead after 18-wheeler crash caused by icy roads

Burnet police are investigating a fatal accident involving an 18-wheeler Saturday morning, according to the Burnet Police Department.

Dead man's family wins $37.9M verdict in crash with semi on icy Texas highway

A Dallas County jury on Tuesday awarded $37.9 million to the family of a man who was killed when he drove into an O'Reilly Auto Parts 18-wheeler stuck on an icy road in February 2015.

A Saturday morning accident involving a semi truck has left one person dead in Burnet, Texas. At approximately 6 AM in the 2100 block of Highway 29 East David Shoot, 36, lost control of his truck on the icy road, causing it to slide sideways across Highway 29. Meanwhile, Manuel Galindo-Camacho, 37 was driving his van and was unable to stop his vehicle, resulting in the collision. Galindo-Camacho was declared dead shortly after the accident.
