Round Rock family involved in fatal Caldwell County crash

Four members of a Round Rock family were killed Thursday morning in a violent crash southeast of Austin. It'€™s part of a private partnership with the state and known mostly for its 85 mph speed limit. Five miles south of the crash scene the speed limit has been lowered to 75. The family is from Round Rock and at the time was returning home from a trip to Mexico. Five children ranging in age from an infant to a 15-year-old survived according to Mustang Ridge Police Chief Michael Rodriguez.

Fifth Person Dies Following Rollover Crash in Caldwell County

A fifth person has died following Thursday'€™s deadly rollover wreck in Caldwell County. Officials say one of the children who was hurt in the wreck at U.S. Highway 183 and State Highway 21 died Friday at Dell Children's Medical Center. Four people were killed at the scene. Five children were taken to the hospital. Police believe a blowout or high speeds were a factor in the crash.
