A wrong-way driver is dead after colliding with a tree in the Bishop Arts District Wednesday, Dallas police say.

Driver dies after hitting tree in Bishop Arts District

The driver has been identified as Maximiliano Sixtos, 22, of Dallas.

Authorities say a driver was heading south in the northbound lanes of Bishop Avenue when he slammed into a tree near West Davis Street in the Biship Arts District at about 11 p.m. The driver was the lone occupant of the vehicle, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
