SUV Crash Victims' Families Confused Day After Tragedy

“I want to remember him in a good way, not in the tragedy that happened,” Zavala said adding, “He just went on a cruise, he just remarried and he was full of life. He loved to dance and laugh and we’re just going to miss him.”

An SUV containing three people was driving on West 10th Street, where witnesses say they saw it run a stop sign, strike a parked vehicle, and slammed into the Oak Cliff Apartments, wedging the parked vehicle in-between. All three people in the SUV, identified as Lucinda Rosas De Esparza, 56, Evelina Maltos, 66, and Paul Maltos, 93, were pronounced dead. There is currently little information regarding what caused the crash; we will add details as they become available.
