Deadly Crash Closes Southbound I-35W in North Fort Worth

Fort Worth police said all southbound lanes of I-35W are closed from Golden Triangle Boulevard to Heritage Trace following the crash. Two people are dead and two others are injured after a crash that has closed all southbound lanes of Interstate 35W north of Fort Worth Monday evening, medics say. The crash was reported just before 9 p.m. near Heritage Trace Parkway, according to Med Star. Additional information on the crash victims has not yet been released. Brother, sister killed after Christmas light trip

HALTOM CITY  — Just days before Christmas, a North Texas family is having to plan funerals for a brother and sister killed in a car wreck. The Estelle family was together and on their way home after taking the driving tour of Christmas lights at the Texas Motor Speedway. "In their car singing Christmas carols," Morales says. Nora Morales says her sister and husband and their three kids "were doing their normal thing." Fort Worth police say a Ford Explorer struck the back of their car on I-35W near Heritage Trace Parkway.

Two killed in I-35W crash at Heritage Trace identified

The two killed were in a Ford Fusion that was rear-ended by a Ford Explorer, which caused the SUV to hit a concrete center wall, Tamara Pena, a Fort Worth police spokeswoman, said. The Explorer and another vehicle collided.
