IRVING (CBSDFW.COM) – A pickup truck crash early Friday left one person dead, another person injured, and shut down part of a major North Texas highway. The incident took place at around 4:00 a.m. in the westbound lanes of the LBJ Freeway, near MacArthur Boulevard in Irving. There has been no word about how long investigators will be at the scene, or when the crash will be cleared. According to a police official, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no skid marks along the road, police added, indicating no attempt by the driver to prevent the truck from crashing into the pillar.
