Three Dead in Crash in Ellis County Near Red Oak

An SUV and a pickup crashed at the corner of FM 644 and Batchler Road just after 1 a.m. Saturday. Two brothers in the SUV and the driver of the pickup were all killed. James Mancilla, 19, was driving eastbound in a Jeep Grand Cherokee with his brother, 21-year-old Jose Mancilla, as a passenger. They crashed with a northbound Ford F-250 driven by 19-year-old Ethan Woods. One person was ejected from a vehicle and found deceased in a nearby field. Authorities are trying to discover from which vehicle he was thrown. Hunter Manley, 19, was the passenger in the pickup. He was airlifted to a Dallas hospital. His current condition has not been reported.
