Pro rodeo cowboy Gill, passenger hurt in Texas plane crash

A professional rodeo cowboy and his fiancee have been seriously hurt when their single-engine plane crashed after takeoff from North Texas on a flight to the Houston area.

Professional team roper, fiance injured in plane crash

The couple was transported by air to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.

The Piper Saratoga II, a small-engine plane, crashed after it left the Stephenville Clark Regional Airport. The plane was bound for Wharton but experienced engine trouble and went down, crashing into a ditch and a fence, then flipping. The two people inside, York Gill and Christy Stransky, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
