A Tarkington man died Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 11, after his 14-year-old daughter was injured in a serious accident. Shane Bounds, 41, and his 14-year-old daughter, Jessica, were driving on CR 2255 Tuesday around 1:45 p.m. when their Suburban and pulling a trailer, left the roadway, throwing Jessica from the trailer. She sustained serious head injuries. After the initial accident scene cleared, her father Shane was put inside an air-conditioned car out of concern for an existing health condition. He started to have seizures and he passed away on the way to a hospital in Kingwood.
