Woman killed after crashing into backyard and tree at high speed.

Authorities are investigating what caused a deadly crash in northwest Harris County.

Deputies said the driver of a yellow Ford Mustang was speeding down Champion Forest Drive around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday when she lost control, drove through a wooden fence into the backyard of a house and ended up slamming into a pine tree.

The vehicle flipped on its side. Officials said the woman died at the scene.

There were no witnesses to the crash.

An autopsy has been schedule to determine if the crash in was alcohol related.
