Emergency crews respond to fatal accident in SW Houston

Emergency workers are responding to a fatal auto pedestrian accident in southwest Houston.The accident happened around 6:30am on the 610 West Loop at Stella Link.ABC13 has confirmed someone has died in that accident.We will bring you more on Eyewitness News at 11am and on abc13.com.

Fatal auto-pedestrian incident on South Loop under investigation

HOUSTON – Houston police and fire responded to a fatal auto-pedestrian accident on the South Loop early Friday. According to Houston TranStar, the single-vehicle crash happened in the eastbound lanes near Stella Link. No further information has been released as the incident remains under investigation. As of 7:44 a.m. one mainlane, a ramp and part of the eastbound frontage road remained blocked. A pedestrian died at the scene.
