Woman dies when struck by car on Beechnut in Houston, Texas
Investigation into Fatal Crash at 11300 Beechnut
The identity of the female victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant K. Harris and Officer J. Gaona reported:
The victim crossed Beechnut, not at a crosswalk, and attempted to flag down a Metro bus when she was struck by a white Toyota Tacoma. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Toyota, who remained at the scene, was determined not to be impaired and was questioned and released.
