Police: Man killed in auto-pedestrian accident on Old Highway 249

Police say a man in his 20s wearing dark clothes was crossing the road in an unprotected area when he was hit by a car.

A man was hit and killed Wednesday night when he was crossing Highway 249 at Medical Complex Road in Tomball around 9:15 p.m.  The driver remained at the scene with the man until emergency crews arrived. The victim was taken to the hospital, where he later died. Authorities said the driver will not be ticketed.
