Based off the investigation, police believe that a driver of a blue Ford F-150 was driving north on the left lane by the 4900 block of S. Zapata Highway, when he allegedly struck a pedestrian that was crossing from west to east from the center grass median. The driver then called 911 and waited for authorities to arrive.
