Woman killed in alleged hit-and-run crash on Northwest Side, driver arrested

The accident occurred shortly before 2:10 a.m. Friday in the 1000 block of Bandera Road, where the victim was pulling out of the parking lot of a sports bar when a red truck plowed into the driver side of the victim’s vehicle, a sergeant said at the scene.

“She was a nurse she worked at Methodist hospital. She did this as a hobby Sunday through Thursday with us. She just loved playing poker, that's what she did,” said Trejo.

Gene Olguin, 29, is now facing a charge of failure to stop and render aid in the fatal accident, a second-degree felony. He remains in the Bexar County Jail.
