3 people injured in weather-related crash involving 2 semis, car on I-15 in Iron County, Utah
Semis crash, temporarily closing I-15 in Southern Utah
At about 1:30 p.m. Thursday, a heavy storm pelted the highway near mile marker 100 — about eight miles south of Beaver — and a southbound semi lost control and jack-knifed across the southbound lanes.
A second southbound semi hit its brakes, but "the semi behind that one ran into the back of that semi and across the median into the northbound lanes," according to the Utah Highway Patrol.
One more semi also lost control and jack-knifed, UHP reported.
A black passenger car was also damaged in the crashes.
