South Ogden man dies in head-on crash

Deputies found “possible illegal drugs” in Ogg’s vehicle while investigating the crash, Findlay said. A search warrant was obtained for Ogg’s blood, Findlay said, and a blood sample was also taken from the woman driving the Ford.

One dead, one injured in Weber County head-on car crash

She was taken to the same hospital by medical helicopter, and is scheduled to undergo surgery. Sheriff's authorities said she is expected to survive.
Leland Joseph Ogg, 35, of South Ogden, was driving his Honda Accord west on 1900 North when he crossed the center line and crashed into a Ford Ranger heading eastbound, at 1:00 a.m. Ogg was transported to McKay Dee Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The driver of the Ford sustained a broken leg and other non-life threatening injuries and was transported by LifeFlight to McKay Dee Hospital.
