Man, 19, arrested and 2 suspects at large following carjacking in West Valley, crash in Kearns, Utah

W. Valley carjacking ends in high-speed chase, crash and hunt for suspects

After dodging police tire spikes, the truck eventually crashed into a fence near 6000 South and 4600 West about 1:30 a.m. WVCPD officers had then spotted the truck near 3100 South and 4400 West, and when they attempted to pull it over the suspects sped away. Lex Bell said officers also recovered two handguns allegedly tossed from the white Ford F-150, which was carjacked from West Valley City overnight. One man is in jail and police were hunting for two more after a high-speed chase involving a stolen pickup truck came to a crashing halt in Kearns early Friday morning. UPD was asked for assistance as the chase extended into neighboring Kearns.
