16-year-old girl injured in Little Cottonwood Canyon rollover
Jared Richardson said the girl was driving the red SUV down the canyon at about 12:50 p.m. at a speed higher than the posted speed limit, with a gray vehicle following close behind. When they came to the Tanners Flat area, about four miles up the canyon, the single lane of traffic down-canyon vehicles expands to two lanes, Richardson said. At the point where the two lanes converge back to a single lane, the gray vehicle suddenly passed the red SUV. Witnesses said it was at that point that the driver of the SUV lost control.
After an injury car accident, take these steps to help the recovery process

After a serious crash, several steps need to be taken, including dealing with the insurance companies, tracking and documenting lost income from missed work, coordinating medical bill payments, and handling an insurance claim.
