The female victim, identified as a 21 year old local college student, was traveling South on S. Main Street and was crossing the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Way via the crosswalk on a motorized scooter. Multiple witnesses at the scene reported that an older model Dark Green Toyota Camry entered the intersection and failed to yield right of way to the crosswalk sign.
