Man killed, teen injured after motorcycle crash in Newport News
A van was going northbound on Jefferson Avenue and making a left turn onto Warwickshire Court when the motorcycle slammed into the rear passenger side of the van.
A woman and a teen were in the van at the time. The adult was not injured but the teen was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

McPherson said Hewitt was riding a motorcycle and was traveling south on Jefferson Avenue. Witnesses told police the motorcyclist appeared to be speeding while weaving in and out of traffic.
