A Manassas died Thursday after his van ran off the road and struck a tree, Virginia State Police said.
Police: Weather, speed led to deadly I-295 crash
Virginia State Police say a man was killed and three others injured in a crash on Interstate 295 south earlier this week.
Orellana was traveling southbound on Interstate 295 when he lost control of the van and the vehicle left the road and struck a tree. Orellana was tranposrted to a local hospital where he later died of his injuries. Three passengers of the van sustained non-life threatening injuries and were also hospitalized. Authorities believe the van was traveling too fast for conditions, and that no one was wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
