Trooper Heather Axtman said the collision occurred about 1:15 p.m. when a semi-truck failed to stop for traffic that had backed up near a construction zone.

Cynthia Prosser, 64, of Tulalip was driving a 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe north on I-5 near Conway and had slowed for traffic near a construction zone when her vehicle was hit from behind by a semi-truck, according to a news release from State Patrol.
