Driver faces felony vehicular assault charges after crash

The driver was not injured, but he was transported to the hospital for a blood draw, Francis said. Police are investigating him for driving under the influence, he said.

Driver Arrested After Crash on Old Day Creek Road

According to the Press Memo from the Washington State Patrol, 42 year old Omar Chevez of Sedro Woolley was  Westbound on Old Day Creek Road in a white 2005 Chevrolet Pickup when he failed to negotiate a curve, and crossed the center line into oncoming traffic.

A 42-year-old Sedro-Woolley man was arrested Saturday on felony vehicular assault charges after the Chevy Silverado he was driving collided with a power pole on Old Day Creek Road, seriously injuring his two passengers. The driver was traveling west when he exited the road. His passengers, a 29-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman, were transported to Skagit Valley Hospital.
