Lindsey Hill, 35, killed and car driver Robert Terrance Jackson Jr. runs after crash at 119th Avenue SE and SE 60th Street in Bellevue, Washington
Around 7:25 a.m., a witness told police they saw a man covered in blood walking around an apartment building near the scene of the crash. Officers responded and took the 38-year-old Bellevue man into custody after a brief struggle. The suspect was transported to Overlake Hospital. Once he is released, police said he would be booked for investigation of vehicular homicide and felony hit-and-run.
“We don’t know the cause of her death at this point, where she was in the car, if she was in the car, or outside the car,” said Major Arpin.
Upon arrival, they found a deceased 35-year-old female, who has been identified as a Bellevue resident, and a 1992 Lexus LS that was off the roadway and had struck a utility box, causing a power outage in the immediate neighborhood. Police determined that the female victim was a passenger in the vehicle and had been ejected from her seat during the crash and subsequently ended up underneath the vehicle when it went off the roadway.
King County prosecutors say Robert Terrance Jackson Jr. dashed from his Lexus after wrecking near the apartment he shared with Lindsey Hill and Hill’s children. Jackson, 38, is alleged to have left Hill dead in the car to be found by her 13-year-old son.
