Bail was set at $100,000 on Monday for a 21-year-old Renton man who is accused of causing a three-vehicle collision on Interstate 5 near Federal Way early Sunday that killed a truck driver whose load of aviation fuel ignited in a fiery, rollover crash.

Washington State Patrol detectives are asking witnesses to a fatal crash on Interstate 5 on Sunday morning to call in. Early Sunday morning, a three-vehicle collision resulted in the death of a semi driver on southbound Interstate 5 near 336th St. in Federal Way.

The Washington State Patrol said either drugs or alcohol were involved in a crash early Sunday on Interstate 5 in Federal Way that killed one person, injured four others and blocked all southbound lanes of the freeway for hours. The three-car crash occurred about 2:30 a.m. when a 21-year-old lost control of the car he was driving and hit the freeway barrier, according to the State Patrol.

A 68-year-old tanker truck driver died and four people were injured early Sunday morning in a crash on Interstate 5, according to Washington State Patrol.

Early Sunday morning, a three-vehicle collision resulted in the death of a semi driver on southbound Interstate 5 near 336th St. in Federal Way. A 21-year-old Renton man was driving a Nissan Altima southbound on I-5 at about 2 a.m. when he lost control and struck a barrier. A Toyota Camry being driven by a 24-year-old Tacoma woman hit the Altima, pushing the Altima into the other lane. The tractor trailer driven by a 68-year-old Sumner man hit the Altima, went off the road, rolled over, struck the sound wall and then caught fire. The truck driver was killed. The driver of the Altima was booked into the King County Jail on investigation of vehicular homicide.
