Renton man, 64, killed as pickup crashes near Issaquah

The State Patrol says it does not appear that alcohol was a factor in the crash.

A 64-year-old Renton man died early Friday morning when the pickup he was driving rolled over multiple times and slammed into a fence along Highway 900 about three miles west of Issaquah. A white 1976 Toyota pickup was found lying on its top by the law enforcement officers who responded to the scene. The driver was pronounced dead at the crash site. The pickup was headed west on Highway 900 when the driver failed to negotiate the curve at 171st Avenue. The vehicle flipped over and rolled multiple times before striking a fence and coming to a stop on its roof. The driver was the only occupant of the pickup, and no other vehicles were involved in the crash. The name of the driver is being withheld pending notification of his family.
