Webb said the highway was shut down only briefly as officials combed the area of the accident. The accident happened east of Sunset Way, said Trooper Chris Webb of the Washington State Patrol. Two 17-year-old girls suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries when their car left the roadway on westbound Interstate 90 about 12:20 p.m. As of early the afternoon of Nov. 2, the cause of the accident was still under investigation. The vehicle ended up flipped over in some brush near Issaquah Creek.
