Shelton woman killed in Highway 101 head-on collision
A 20-year-old Shelton woman was killed in a head-on collision early Sunday on Highway 101 that sent two others to the hospital, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The woman killed in a head-on collision on Highway 101 near Shelton Sunday was identified as Breanna Renee Atwell. A passenger in her car, Samuel John Roark III, 22, of Shelton, was taken to a local hospital; his current condition is not reported at this time. Atwell was heading north at 1:26 a.m. two miles southwest of Shelton when a southbound vehicle, driven by Severiano Lopez, 20, crossed the centerline and crashed into Atwell's vehicle head-on. Lopez was transported to St. Peter Hospital in Olympia and transferred to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition. Atwell was deceased at the crash site.
