Identities of 4 killed in crash near Davenport released
Four people were killed in a crash Wednesday evening on Highway 2 about 13 miles west of Davenport when the car they were traveling in, failed to negotiate a curve and crossed the center line, colliding head on with a semi-truck which pushed the car into a ditch.
The collision occurred around 5:45pm east of the Teleford rest area. The victims, who were all riding in the same car, are identified as George Friedlander, 68-years-old, of Nespelem, Jake Walter, 28-years-old, of Omak, Georgina Walter, 32-years-old, of Omak, and a 5-month-old infant boy, Logan Walter. The truck driver, 57-year-old Gerard Kane, wasn't injured in the collision. No charges have been filed in this accident.
