Two people were headed to the hospital, one with life-threatening injuries, after a car and motorcycle collided in Spokane this afternoon.

The Spokane County Medical Examiner’s office has identified the victim in a fatal motorcycle accident Tuesday afternoon. Michael P. Lovas, 66, was riding a motorcycle when he collided with a truck on Trent Avenue and Mission Avenue at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Both drivers’ vehicles flipped. They were both taken to the hospital, Lovas with life-threatening injuries. Lovas later died as a result of massive blood loss due to blunt impact.
